Bawdeswell Activities Group (BAG)

The group was founded by Project Bawdeswell to set up and organise events in and around the village for the benefit of the residents. We are a small group of volunteers and are restricted in what we can do by our small numbers. Details of the background and origins of the group are on our About Us page. We are now a sub group of the Village Hall charity.

*
Currently we run activities afternoons for children during school holidays and a few specific activities for adults. See our Current Program page for details.

*
Is there something that you would like us to organise in the village? Let us know and we will see if there is enough interest to do it.

*
Our aim is to provide or facilitate activities for all age groups in the community at the Village Hall and Sports and Recreation Field. To obtain funds for sports and other equipment for various outdoor and indoor activities by local fund-raising and from grants. To recruit volunteers to run activities and ‘man’ the Village Hall.

Can You Help?

The group needs more volunteers to help with running the school holiday and other  activities. Can you spare the odd afternoon to help us? Each session is 2 hours plus ½ hour setting up and another ½ hour clearing up. Can you spare 3 hours once a week in the holidays? If you want to help, please download a Volunteer Application Form. You will need to be CRB checked and will be offered 1st aid training and will either undertake child protection awareness training or receive a briefing on this.

Tuesday 16th August

BAG are very sorry that, due to a volunteer being unwell, the Kite making this afternoon will be postponed.

New Web Site

With the pending demise of the ‘eastinvolve’ project and web sites, BAG is now hosted on a ‘norfolkparishes’ site. The transfer may make some references invalid and some links may not work. Also, some documents may not be available.

I shall be working through this site over the next week or two and correcting/amending the content as required. It is also an opportunity to generally update the site.

In the meantime, if you have any queries please contact us by email.
